Congratulations to two of The Alliance’s in-network hospitals, Beaver Dam Community Hospital and OSF Holy Family Medical Center, as they were recently named ‘Top Hospitals’ by The Leapfrog Group.
This prestigious award is given annually to the highest performing hospitals on the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. The award is given to all hospitals that meet the high standards defined in each year’s Top Hospitals Methodology, which is updated annually.
Top Rural Hospitals must fully meet the following:
- Leapfrog’s standard for preventing medication errors (CPOE)
- A Value Score of 77 or better as calculated through Leapfrog’s Hospital Recognition Program.
- Hospital is eligible for a Hospital Safety Score and must achieve an A on the letter grades publicly reported at the time of the Top Hospital public announcement.
- Hospitals must satisfy the Top Hospital Selection Committee that in general the hospital embodies the highest standards of excellence worthy of the Leapfrog Top Hospital designation.
More than 1,600 hospitals report on those standards and the results are publicly reported for use by Leapfrog’s constituency of employers and other purchasers as well as employees and the public at large.
This is Beaver Dam Community Hospital’s second year receiving this award and OSF Holy Family Medical Center’s first.
