In 1991, the Dow Jones average topped 3,000 for the first time, U.S. soldiers began fighting in the Middle Eastern deserts in Operation Storm and the average house cost about $71,000.

And, of course Wendy Collins started working at The Alliance. Wendy is our longest-term employee and has just celebrated her 25-year anniversary at The Alliance.

Wendy joined The Alliance as secretary/receptionist, she later moved into the role of executive assistant and office manager in 2006. Back then, The Alliance was a small organization with just 10 employees in the office located off Kessel Court in Madison, Wis.

I have the honor and privilege of working closely with Wendy day in and day out in her role as executive assistant and secretary to the board of directors. I appreciate her dedication and commitment to our members and the mission of The Alliance. She is smart, detail-oriented, reliable – and humble, so this public recognition may be a bit uncomfortable, but is well-deserved.

Thank you Wendy for your continued service to The Alliance. Your hard work is much appreciated. Here’s to another 25 years with The Alliance.
