Dr. Venki Paramesh
A versatile surgeon, Dr. Venki Paramesh, Fellow, American College of Surgeons (FACS), performs adult cardiac procedures such as heart valve repair/replacement, surgery for atrial fibrillation, aortic surgery and transmyocardial revascularization. He was pivotal in the heart transplant program at the University of Arizona prior to joining Gundersen. Other interests include complex aortic surgery including endovascular and hybrid approaches for aortic disease. Dr. Paramesh also performs a variety of thoracic or chest wall surgeries, including traditional open heart surgery – coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve procedures, including minimally invasive valve repair and replacement.
Dr. Prem Rabindranauth
Always working on the cutting edge in his field, Dr. Prem Rabindranauth, Fellow, American College of Surgeons (FACS), was one of the first in the region to learn and perform minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting (MICS-CABG). Since 2010, he has successfully performed hundreds of minimally invasive procedures. He now also teaches and lectures on the technique. His main focus is on achieving better patient outcomes using minimally invasive procedures including multi-vessel MICS-CABG and valve repair and replacement. He is also proficient in off-pump coronary bypass, complex aortic surgery including endovascular and hybrid approaches, video-assisted thorascopic surgery and ablation for atrial fibrillation. In addition, Dr. Rabindranauth can provide traditional open heart surgery – coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve procedures – minimally invasive coronary surgery (MICS) CABG – on up to four vessels, hybrid MICS-CABG and valve repair.
