The Alliance announces QualityPath hospitals

September 11, 2014

The Alliance announced five hospitals Wednesday that will participate in its QualityPath initiative. The program is aimed at helping employers create health benefit plans that encourage employees and family members to choose high-value providers for selected procedures.

The designated hospitals for total hip replacements and total knee replacements are: Meriter – UnityPoint Health, Monroe Clinic, Rockford Memorial Hospital and St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. For coronary artery bypass graft, it’s St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Designated hospitals have committed to implement standardized clinical processes by Jan. 1, 2015, provide care at a bundled price and offer a warranty to cover the cost of complications.

“We are pleased that these hospitals have met the high bar that was set to become a QualityPath designated provider,” Alliance President and CEO Cheryl DeMars said in a statement.
