I recently had the privilege of meeting Lonnie Miller and learning about the knee replacement he had through QualityPath.
I don’t use the word “privilege” lightly. Lonnie was truly one of the nicest individuals I have ever met and was so appreciative of QualityPath that it brought tears to my eyes to know this program can make such a difference.
Lonnie lives in Roscoe, Ill. where he works as an engineer for Advanced Machine & Engineering Co. (a division of Goellner-Hennig Inc.). For years he struggled with knee pain and was very reluctant to get surgery until he found out about QualityPath.
Goellner-Hennig Inc. is a member of The Alliance and signed up to offer QualityPath to their employees in the beginning of 2017. Lonnie noticed the program gave him access to a knee replacement — at no cost to him — at nearby Beloit Memorial Hospital. It was a “no-brainer” to finally go through the surgery.
Lonnie said he experienced nothing but the best throughout his QualityPath journey. He never paid a bill and even achieved his goal of going back to work at six weeks, compared to 10-12 weeks for many knee replacement patients who are on their feet.
